Men’s mittens knitted of Shetland wool with a colored pattern in noble brown and green shades. The cuff is made of 2×2 rib with stripes of two contrasting brown colors.
Wider stripes are used to decorate the main part of the mitten as a background for the green color pattern. The thumb with a Norwegian wedge provides comfort and a good fit on the hand.

Size men’s mittens knitted of Shetland wool: To fit palm circumference: 22-24 cm (8,5 -9,5 in). Actual pain circumference: 21.5 cm (8/5 in) Total length: 28.5 cm (11,5 in).
Yarn: Jamieson & Smith Shetland 2ply Jumper Weight (4ply weight; 100% Shetland wool 115/125 yds per 25 g ball).
- A FC 44 (Brown Mix): 1x 25g ball;
- B 80 (Brown): 1x 25g ball;
- C FC 46 (Dark Green Grey);1 x 25g ball.
Needles and accessories:
- Set of 2.5 mm (UK 12-13/US 1-2) double-pointed needles (DPNs) of circular needles, 60 cm long for Magic Loop method
- Set of 3 mm (UK 11/US 2-3) DPNs of circular needles, 60 cm long, for Magic Loop method.

Tension:
- 30 sts and 40 rounds to 10 cm over ribbing using 2.5 mm needles;

Using 2.5 mm DPNs, yarn A and the long tall method, cast on 64 sts, PM and joints work in the round, taking care not to twist sts.

Return 11 thumb sts to a 3 mm needle.
Round 1: Working Round 1 of Chart C, pick up and knit 1st from right side of thumb opening, K11, pick up and knit 1st from left side of Thumb opening in next color from Chart, K 11 sts, 24 sts.
Rounds 2-23: Cont working from Chart C.
Round 24 (dec): K1, K2tog, K7, SSK, K1, K2tog, K7, SSK. 4sts dec d. Last round sets thumb decreases.
Rounds 25 -27: Cont working from Chart C, dec as cet. 8sts.
Break yarn and thread through rem sts. Pull tight to fasten.
