Materials for knitting fluffy yarn hat
- Ling Rong Yuan, Mink (50 % angora 30% wool, 20 % acrylic, 50 gr/350 m), 150 gr, colour burgundy.
- Circular needle size 3,5 mm: Length 40 cm, or size needed to obtain correct gauge.
- Double pointed needles size 3,5/
- Knitting markers.
Gauge: 21 sts x 31 rows yarn in 2 additions = 10 x 10 cm.
Note: Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.
Fluffy yarn hat
Loosely cast on 143-152 sts and knit garter stitch.
When the piece measures 5 cm sec 35 sts evenly distributed = 108-117 sts.
Continue with garter st. When the piece measures 16 cm put 9 markers in work as follows (from right side). K 1 st, put in 1 marker, * K 12-13 sts, put in 1 marker *, repeat from * – * a total of 8 times, after last marker there are 11-12 sts.
Now dec 1 st on the left side of each marker every other row a total of 11-12 times = 9 sts remain on needles. Pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts and fasten. Sew hat at center back.
Hat measures approx. 21-22 cm in height.
